A healthier, more precise, and cleaner way to manicure nails! This method does not use water which softens the nail and can affect the adhesion of nail products. This method is done using an e-file and specifically crafted metal drill bits to gently buff and remove dead skin from the nail plate and surrounding cuticle area. Then, the nail is prepped and the base coat most suited to the clients needs is applied before the application of polish which is meticulously painted as close to the skin as possible allowing nails to look beautiful longer as the manicure grows out.

Manicure longevity varies on things such as: health of nail, growth rate of the nail, application method, products used, and most importantly the client’s lifestyle. My manicures can last up to 6 weeks given the right conditions however, this will not be the case for every client. Please understand, experienced nail techs and masters can do their best to make stable, healthy, beautiful nails but the client also has a responsibility to not abuse their nails. This means no chipping or pulling off gel, no biting nails or cuticles, not using nails as tools, using gloves when cleaning or using harsh chemicals. Healthy nails are a team effort! Both client and nail master must work together!

Like any procedure involving skin, it is important to do your research and find a nail technician who has mastered using the tools required for this technique. I trained under two Russian masters who learned in Moscow. I also spent a year at a Russian salon working alongside masters who encouraged me and taught me. I have been learning and mastering this method since 2020 and I’m still learning every day! I am more than confident in the safety of my work because of the intensive training and education I have received.

Ouch! This happens when an inexperienced nail technician improperly holds their e-drill or applies an inappropriate amount of pressure onto the nail plate. This can create grooves in the nail plate and leave the nail damaged and sensitive. This can cause issues as the nail is weakened and is left susceptible to breaking!

I choose not to use acrylic products because they are applied using a toxic liquid called monomer. Inhaling monomer fumes can irritate the lungs and cause allergic reactions. I myself am allergic to monomer fumes so you’ll never see any acrylics in my studio. I do offer a variety of safer options for nail extensions, including polygel and Gel-X systems.

I use different types of base coats for clients with weak or brittle nails, broken nails, long nails, short nails. The same goes for the cuticle prep process. Some clients have perfect cuticles and therefore less is more, while some naturally have excess skin around the nails that needs to be buffed. I have many different e-drill bits for all types of skin and needs. Each manicure is tailored to my clients specific needs based on their skin, their nails, and their lifestyle.
